*Connect with BBMP Chief Commissioner in BBMP Mahadevapura Zone*
It is a welcome change where the Chief Commissioner Mr. Tushar Girinath visited Mahadevapura BBMP Zone office to interact with the residents of Mahadevapura
In the 3 hour meeting, some of the key decisions/highlights are shared
1. Panathur S Cross Land acquisition challenges was raised and Chief Commissioner agreed to personally intervene and sort it out on priority
2. Any road widening project needs to be taken up only through TDR Route
3. Land acquisition issue at Marathahalli ROB was discussed and Chief Commissioner directed concerned officers to set up meeting with concerned
4. Traffic challenge at Rainbow Children Hospital U Turn was raised and possible solution/s to be reviewed
5. CSR funds being stopped for Lake maintenance due to interim stay order because of PIL was discussed at length. Chief Commissioner agreed to the view that “Corporate Entities” does not include Citizen Trusts or NGO’s. He agreed to take Legal opinion and allow CSR Funds for Lake Maintenance
6. BBMP Lakes Dept is fully RESPONSIBLE for the Lake Water quality and he directed lakes dept to start periodic testing of water
7. Concern of less staff in BBMP Lakes and SWD Dept was acknowledged and Chief Commissioner agreed to look into it
8. Direction from Chief Commissioner
– BBMP RI Officers responsible for removal of FOOTPATH ENCROACHMENTS
– BBMP SWD Department responsible for removal of encroachments in SWD
– BBMP Lakes Department responsible for removal of encroachments in Lakes
– BBMP Zonal Engineering responsible for encroachment/deviation to plan of houses and commercial property
– BBMP Lakes Dept responsible for managing 50 metres inlet and outlet to lakes
9. No open digging allowed in roads until October 2022
10. BESCOM allowed to take up HDD Digging and work to be stopped if the work is not executed properly. BESCOM to restore the road immediately
11. No OFC Cable agencies allowed to dig. FIR to be filed and action taken immediately
12. Tree cutting permission delay impacting many projects discussed. e.g. Caramelram Main Road for 1 year and no decision yet
13. Issues around Seetharampalaya Lake was discussed at length and Zonal Commissioner was asked to coordinate all resolution
14. Zonal Commissioner was asked to take up Encroachment Removal drive in Rajakaluve along with the Revenue Department. Tasildar Mr. Ajit Rai was called and asked to provide support
